Smith (Great William O’Brien Street, Blackpool, Cork and formerly of Main Street Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork) On October 23, 2018, peacefully, after a long illness bravely borne with great dignity at the Mercy University Hospital, SAM (PADDY) (late of VCD Verolme Cork Dockyard). Dearly beloved husband of Maura (Kelly) (nee O’Shea), and the late Kathleen (nee O’Herlihy), cherished father of Christopher, Anne, Carmel and stepfather of Elaine, much loved brother of Claire. Sadly missed and deeply mourned by his loving family, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and his many dear friends.

Reposing at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge. Rosary on Wednesday evening at 6.45pm followed by Removal to the Church of the Annunciation, Blackpool. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to Rathcooney Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu if desired to The Mercy University Hospital Foundation.
