Downey (Gweedore Avenue, Mayfield, Cork): On March 25, 2011, peacefully, in the presence of his loving family and in the dedicated care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Marymount Hospice, Wellington Road, JOHN, beloved husband of the late Rita and loving father of Carol, Paul, Gary, Tony and Barry. Sadly missed and deeply mourned by his loving family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at O'Connor Bros Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge. Rosary on Sunday evening at 5pm. Removal on Monday at 6pm to Our Lady Crowned Church, Mayfield. Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Tuesday. Funeral afterwards to St Catherine's Cemetery, Kilcully. Requiescat in pace.
